The Friends of the Legion is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2007 by current and former members of the 5th SFG(A). It is dedicated to providing aid and assistance to current and former members of the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), their surviving spouses, and families and preserving the history and lineage of this proud organization. The Friends of the Legion, in conjunction with the local community, provides financial and material support through scholarships, emergency relief, and community events benefiting the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). |

The 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) is one of the most elite organizations in the U.S. Army and all of the Department of Defense. Since their activation on 21 September 1961, the Green Berets of the 5th SFG(A) have served in every major conflict, including the Vietnam War, Operation DESERT STORM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. This proud organization and its magnificent Soldiers have always been at the forefront of efforts to safeguard our freedoms. Today, they continue to conduct special operations on the front lines of the Global War on Terrorism, not only in Iraq but throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. |

Unfortunately we cannot offer any additional SOG Knives at this time. We will fill all existing orders as of 17 August 2007 but we will no longer accept new orders. If you were lucky enough to get one of these spectacular knives, congratulations on a great investment. |

UPDATE — Limited Edition Print Pick Up & Shipping— Wednesday 03 October 2007 |

We are pleased to announce that the Limited Edition 5th SFG(A) Prints by Jim Dietz will be available for pickup on Wednesday October 3, 2007 in the 5th Special Forces Group Conference Room from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Conference Room is located next to the Group Headquarters on Indiana Avenue between 42nd and 46th Streets (directly across the street from Grace Chapel). If you are unable to pick up the print at this time, you can also come to pick up your print on Saturday October 6, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the same location. Mr. Dietz will be on hand to personalize your print(s) on Wednesday October 3, 2007 only. This is the only time that he will be available and we urge you to take advantage of this special opportunity. We will also have two framers on hand offering special discounts for our customers. If you are outside of the Fort Campbell area and paid for shipping, your print will be shipped between 4-6 October and we will send an e-mail confirmation to your when your print has shipped.
